SMS Messaging Terms

Last updated: March 27, 2026

Program Description

Chisel is a project management platform for general contractors. When a contractor uses Chisel to manage a project for their customer, the customer may receive SMS text messages related to their project. These messages include:

  • Appointment reminders — schedule confirmations and updates
  • Project updates — status changes, milestone completions, and notes
  • Invoice notifications — payment requests and receipts

Chisel SMS is not used for marketing, promotions, or advertising. Messages are strictly limited to project-related communication between contractors and their customers.

How to Opt In

Customers opt in to receive SMS messages through one of the following methods:

  1. SMS Consent Link — Your contractor sends you a unique consent link via email or in person. Clicking the link takes you to a consent page where you can review the messaging terms and check a box to agree to receive SMS messages.
  2. Verbal or Written Consent — Your contractor may obtain your consent in person or in writing, and record it in Chisel on your behalf.

Consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on project activity. You will only receive messages when your contractor sends you a project-related update. There is no fixed number of messages per week or month — it depends entirely on your project's schedule and milestones. Typically, customers receive between 1–10 messages per month.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier messaging and data rates may apply to any SMS messages you send or receive. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from Chisel. You will receive a single confirmation message:

"Chisel: You are unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to re-subscribe."

After opting out, you will not receive any further SMS messages unless you choose to re-subscribe by replying START.

How to Get Help

If you need help, reply HELP to any message you receive from Chisel. You will receive the following response:

"Chisel: For help, visit https://getchisel.app or contact your contractor directly. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg frequency may vary. Reply STOP to opt out."

You can also contact us directly at [email protected] for any SMS-related questions or concerns.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We will not share your mobile phone number or any personal information collected via SMS opt-in with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
